Hi there, we’re Marc and Helena Stokes, the joint owners of HMI Advisors. If you are looking professional advice to help you deal with the challenges your business is facing, then you are in the right place.
We have extensive experience of not only running our own businesses but also managing large departmental teams for some of the UK’s biggest financial firms.
Following the recent sale of our London based business (a franchise of Wiltshire Farm Foods) in 2021, we decided we were ready for a new challenge. Our mission - to use the 20+ years of knowledge we have collected, to help other business owners to grow and improve their businesses.
Who are we?
Marc Stokes
Marc has significant experience in the corporate world having previously worked for 3 of the ‘Big 6’ Auditing firms and also some of the biggest banking firms in the country. He has held multiple senior level roles primarily in risk management and so he knows all about developing and executing risk strategies.
More recently, as the franchisee of Wiltshire Farm Foods East London, he transformed what was a highly centralised small business by reorganising its workflows, team structures, practises and management. He improved job satisfaction for the employees, increased productivity and turnover (the latter by 40%) and all this happened against the backdrop of Covid and Brexit.
Helena Stokes
The other driving force behind the business is Helena, a former fellow of the ACCA she has experience of working with a prestigious number of firms including Sainsburys and EDF Man. Helena founded her own accounting practice and also ran a successful South London Franchise of Wiltshire Farm Foods. With such expertise we can guarantee you will be in 'good hands' when working with her.
